Christmas readings in Wellington – Dec. 10

The Friends of Wellington Library will present an afternoon of Christmas readings and music at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 244 Main Street in Wellington, at 2pm on Sunday, Dec. 10.

This tradition started more than 10 years ago at the former Devonshire Inn and now alternates between St. Andrew’s Anglican Church and Wellington United Church.

It is an opportunity to relax and enjoy Christmas-related writings by various authors and seasonal music by local artists. Readers will be drawn from the members of the Friends of Wellington Library, with guest reader Amy Bodman, of the Prince Edward County Field Naturalists.

Music will be performed by the duo Acadia Lyra comprising Janine Dudding and Susan Sweeney Hermon on Celtic harp. Light refreshments will be served after the performance in the church hall.

Admission is a free-will offering at the door, supporting projects undertaken by the Friends of Wellington Library. Donations of non-perishable goods for The Storehouse Foodbank are welcome.
