Coming up for County Seniors

May 22 – Understanding Hearing Loss with an Assistive Devices Display – The Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) addresses the hidden disability of hearing loss. A question and answer session will follow with an opportunity to investigate an assortment of hearing assistive devices. All are welcome at this free presentation held at the Community Care office, 74A King Street, Picton on Wednesday, May 22nd starting at 10:30 am. Seniors 60+ are invited to register or for more information call the County Seniors Centre at 613-476-7493.

May 28 – Coffee and Checkers Social at Sophiasburgh Town Hall – This afternoon is open for seniors 60+. Refreshments and good conversation Tuesday, May 28th at Sophiasburgh Town Hall located at 2771 County Road 5, Demorestville from 3-4pm. This is a free event and open to all. Contact the County Seniors Centre for more information and to register at 613-476-7493.

May 29 – Lunch and Learn for Seniors in Hillier – Enjoy good food and conversation with old and new friends Wednesday, May 29th at noon. The menu features homemade soup, chicken with mushroom sauce, potato, vegetable, lemon pie, bread and butter, and coffee or tea for $10 per person. There will be a presentation by Motion on mobility products. This event is sponsored by The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association and will be held in the Hillier Town Hall. Reserve by the Tuesday prior at noon by calling 613-476-7493. Take-out meals are available. This meal can also be delivered to seniors in Hillier.

May 29 – Sing Along with Mike a Athol Town Hall – Join guitarist Mike Langlois for a social sing along of 1920s, 30s, and 40s music. Mike will lead old song favourites including Baby Face, Cuddle Up a Little Closer, Bicycle Built for Two and ‘Till We Meet Again. This is a free social event open to all seniors 60+ at Athol Town Hall located at 1685 County Road 10, Cherry Valley on Wednesday from 2-3pm. Song words and refreshments available. Contact the County Seniors Centre to register at 613-476-7493.
