Library card holders will be able to download the free hoopla digital mobile app to their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow 24/7, for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers. The service began Monday.

“The County of Prince Edward Public Library is thrilled to – in concert with our Quinte West and Belleville neighbours – offer yet another online service to our patrons – streaming movies and music from hoopla,” said Barbara Sweet, CEO County of Prince Edward Library and Archives. “This service rounds out our website offerings. You can search our catalogue, borrow a digital format magazine, research a reference question, download an e-book or an audio book and now as well download a movie. Of course all of this is free and available 24 hours a day.”

Library card-holders will be able to download up to five titles per month, which can include a full e-Book or Audiobook, movies, television episodes or full albums. The content is available free of charge 24/7 and there are no waitlists, holds, or late fees. In addition to the monthly limit of five titles, there are daily budget limits set by each library.

Hoopla digital is a service of CVS Midwest Tape, a trusted partner to public libraries for more than 25 years. It has partnered with public libraries across North America. All content is accessible via hoopla digital’s mobile app and online at www.hoopladigital.com.
