Library’s new Saturday Series focuses on animals

Where do the creatures of the forest get help when they need it?
Wildlife experts from Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre will discuss the work that happens at the centre, the type of animals they treat and what to do if you find an injured or distressed wild animal.
Be at the Picton Branch Library, Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. to learn more as the Pets & Paperbacks Saturday Series begins.

Each Saturday from 2-4pm at the Picton Branch Library from Feb. 24 – March 31 (with the exception of March 17 taking a break for March Break) will feature a local organization that works with animals.

The first workshop is from Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre in Napanee. Sandy Pines helps all injured and orphaned wildlife (including mammals, birds, reptiles/amphibians) and releases them back into the wild once they have fully grown, and/or healed. Learn about the centre, how they care for injured wildlife and gain respect for the amazing things that our environment can do!
