March may be in like a lamb, out like a lion – in first day

While the first day of March came in like a lamb with a spring-like temperature of 11-13 degrees C, the day may go out like a lion with a mix of weather.

A wind warning is in effect in Prince Edward County for this evening and continuing into Thursday morning.

Environment Canada is calling for strong west winds of 70 km/h gusting up to 100 km/h late this evening.

There is also a risk of thunderstorm, changing to showers this evening and a 60 per cent chance of flurries overnight. Environment Canada says Thursday’s temperature of -8 will feel like -18.
