Everfit Studios new group classes begin March 5

Would you love to be fit and strong this year? The next eight-week session for group classes begins March 5 at Everfit Studios, 8 Stanley St., (upstairs) in Bloomfield.

New is BOSU Core – Monday mornings at 9:30am; TR-X – Tuesday mornings at 8:30am (30 minutes) and Cardio Circuit – Thursday mornings at 8am (30 minutes). Ask about the special Sassy Salsa three week program

Choose from gravity training, fascial flow, TRX, gym circuit, gentle or strong yoga, cycle and strength, core dynamics and the new Drum Fit class. You can join group classes, or take personal training with a friend or be matched with another client with similar goals. (Descriptions of classes below)

Kathy McAlpine Terpstra

Owner Kathy McAlpine Terpstra has been helping others find health and fitness for the past 20 years in Prince Edward County.

Terpstra specializes in Fascial Stretch Therapy, an assisted stretching technique that can help improve mobility, reduce pain, achieve better sports performance and improve flexibility.

Class Descriptions

 

Gravity Training System! This is a semi-private 30-minute session taught on the Gravity Training Systems. It’s a full-body workout and you will feel the difference after the first workout! Limited to 2 people per session. Join with a friend or let me pair you up! (looking for people with similar goals and fitness abilities as a pair) *** Not a regular group class – this is semiprivate personal training*** Special pricing applies – please ask when these sessions are available during the day.

Fascial Flow: Using my knowledge as a Fascial Stretch specialist, I’ve designed this class to be a moving “stretch” for your fascia. Teaching you stretches that you can incorporate into your everyday routine as well. You will LOVE this class! Gentle but very effective at a deep level. All levels

TR-X Strength: A great way to end the week! This 30-minute class will challenge your muscles and give you a full body workout! TR-X is suspension training at it’s best! Helps develop balance, muscle and definitely core. All levels.

Gym Circuit: Looking to strengthen muscles? This class will be taught in the gym using equipment such as hand held weights, bands, balls, steps, TR-X, and all the toys! You will move from station to station doing different exercises. Applies to the 30-minute and the 60-minute classes. All levels.

Gentle Yoga: New to Yoga or need a little extra care and instruction? Let Andrew Binks guide you through a gentle Yoga class. All levels.

Yoga: Taught in a Vinyasa (flowing) style, you will move from standing poses to challenge your strength and balance to restorative poses while resting on the mat. Each class ends with a guided relaxation. All levels

Strong Yoga Mix: Looking for poses that require a little more strength and balance? We’ll hold postures a little longer, give you a few more options to intensify your experience and challenge your flexibility. And every 3rd week we will do a restorative class to balance your Yin/Yang. Some Yoga experience

Cycle & Strength: An awesome combination! Cycle for 15 minutes then off the bikes to work your muscles while keeping your heart rate up, then back on the bikes again for another round. Finish with upper body strength and then a stretch. All levels (but higher intensity)

CORE Dynamics
Core Dynamics is an energizing and vigorous class combining the strengthening components of Vinyasa yoga with other movement disciplines. This class mindfully explores strength and mobility from a functional movement perspective, combining yoga, Pilates, and barre using circuits and body weight exercises to challenge muscular endurance, balance, and coordination. Prepare to sweat, laugh, and move your body in a new way.

CORE Dynamics AMPED! Same sweaty principals as CORE Dynamics with the volume turned up! Prepare to work hard, sweat and laugh the day’s stress away! Not a beginner class – some experience required

Ballet for Adults: with Andrew Binks! Did you take ballet as a child? Ever dreamed of doing it again? Now’s your chance! Drawing on Andrew’s experience as a professional ballet dancer, you will have a lot of fun dancing to good music and moving your body! A fantastic workout too! All levels

Super Class! Cycle, Strength & Fascial Flow! This class is super fun and super charged! Combine cycling for cardio with gym circuit for muscle toning and finish with an awesome release of your Fascia! Special pricing – 75 minute class . Some exercise experience required

New! DrumFit! This 30-minute class is going to be a blast! Awesome music! Drumsticks to keep the beat and some fat-blasting exercises to boot! You’ll sweat, sing along and have a great workout all at the same time! All levels
