Pedestrian struck at Picton town hill

An 87-year-old has minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle on the town hill, at Main and Bridge streets Monday.

At approximately 10:40 a.m. OPP officers and Hastings EMS were called to the scene. The victim was crossing the road. He was transported to hospital  into minorbe treated for minor injuries.

A 34-year-old Prince Edward County man has  been charged with making an Improper Left Turn.

Prince Edward OPP  remind both motorists and pedestrians to proceed with caution and obey the signage as posted at the intersection of Bridge and Main streets since the nature of the intersection is precarious and maneuverability can be challenging.

OPP are asking that anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the OPP Provincial Communications Centre at 1 – 888 – 310 – 1122 or you may call Crime Stoppers at 1 – 800 – 222 – 8477 (TIPS).
