Raise a glass to life and legacy of Grant Howes

Loyal customers and friends of the County Cider Company, as many already know, founder and friend Grant Howes passed away unexpectedly earlier this year.

The Cider Company will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Grant during his favourite event of the year – The Apple Blossom Festival, Saturday, May 13.

The ladies of St. John’s Anglican Church will be on-site selling a variety of community-made apple pies, both by the slice and whole pies. Proceeds will go to the local churches and toward literacy in the County.

The Cider Company will be offering its famous wood-fired pizzas and pints of cider with 50 per cent of the proceeds being donated to a scholarship endowment set up through Niagara College in Grant’s name.

The day will feature music from Flatlanders from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., tributes to Grant from 1-2 p.m. and music from Dan Bone from 2-4 p.m.

Everybody is invited to raise a glass to the life and legacy of Grant Howes.
