Seniors can order hot meals – and books – delivered to their homes

John Inrig, member of Kiwanis Club of Picton and Meals on Wheels Volunteer with Teresa Shephard, co-ordinator for Community Care, pose for a photo before delivering some books with meals.

In a joint effort between Community Care for Seniors and the County Libraries to celebrate Seniors Month in Ontario, a good read is being delivered along with a hot meal.

The purpose of the delivery is to let seniors know the library will deliver books to seniors upon request.

Call the library at 613-399-2023 to make arrangements. They also have books on audio CD for those who prefer to listen to stories.

For information on services provided by Prince Edward Community Care call 613-476-7493, email info@communitycareforseniors.org or www.communitycareforseniors.org
