A report on expenses of councillors and appointees to local boards will be received at Thursday’s committee of the whole meeting. The report fulfills the requirement of the municipal act to provide a statement of remuneration and expenses.

Gone are the days before amalgamation when a local councillor got $60 council meeting and the rest of our time was volunteering time. That was when our Township had 1.5 office personnel, 1.5 roads people and free garbage. The rest of the things done in the Township were done by volunteers and councillors
