Tyson motivates students to find the hero inside

Grade 8 students who have enrolled in the Venture Enrichment program at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute learned about the “Hero Inside” last week.
Participants in a presentation, workshop and activities day May 3 learned from motivational speaker Ian Tyson of the need for student involvement in schools and discussed the importance of overcoming obstacles, stepping outside of your comfort zone, finding motivation in your life and the value of friendship.
The Venture students then participated in a workshop instructed by Tyson. The afternoon was full of team-building activities and games. The day concluded with all students participating in team pyramids and the PECI school cheer.
