Young gardener sells seedlings to support friend in need

Parker Garden was growing some seedlings this spring, some vegetables and some flowers. When his friend Nasr and his family lost their home to a fire, he wanted to help them in some way, so he had a seedling sale.
He sold all his seedlings – some perennials from his garden and some Jade plants that Jennifer McCaw donated and was able to raise $471 to help his friend and family.
Nasr’s backpack was destroyed in the fire, and he hopes to use some of the funds from Parker’s campaign to buy a new backpack for September. The two nine-year-olds attend C.M.L. Snider School in Wellington.
