Two face charges related to threats made to a school

Two young people are facing charges following an investigation regarding threats made to a school in Prince Edward County.
On Wednesday, April 23, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Prince Edward OPP received information of threats directed toward a local school (not named) in the County. With assistance from Prince Edward County Crime Unit and the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), two search warrants were conducted at two locations within Prince Edward County.
As a result of the investigation, two young people have been charged with uttering threats. Both accused were held for bail hearings before the Ontario Court of Justice on.
OPP reminds the community to promptly report any threats or suspicious behavior related to school safety. Reporting these incidents allows for immediate investigation and helps maintain a secure learning environment.
