All you need is a pair of running shoes and a desire to improve basketball skills.
Registration is now open for three age groups in the County Clippers House League. The program develops, encourages and promotes the game of basketball for players from Grades K – 8.
ROOKIE (GRADES K-2): 8 foot nets and smaller balls are used so that all players can experience the thrill of their first basket! Emphasis is on learning the basic skills of dribbling, passing and shooting. Each night the players will have 30 min of skill development followed by 30 minutes of game play. The skill development portion of the league is game based learning so that the players are always having FUN!
JUNIOR (GRADES 3-5): Each week, players will receive 20 minutes of skill development and 40 minutes of game play. A 4 team league with balanced teams will be created after the first night. ALL PLAYERS take part in the skills sessions where the focus is on fundamental offensive skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting and player movement.
SENIOR (GRADES 6-8): Each week, players will receive 20 minutes of skill development and 40 minutes of game play. A 4 team league with balanced teams will be created after the first night. ALL PLAYERS take part in the skills sessions where the focus is on fundamental offensive skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting and advance game strategy.
COST
$60/PLAYER (includes a team jersey, individual player and team photo, and qualified officials)
DATES & TIMES
NOVICE: Monday nights beginning September 12th until October 24th
JUNIOR AND SENIOR: Wednesday nights beginning September 14th until October 26th
5:30 – 6:30 PM OR 6:30 – 7:30 PM (teams rotate time slots)
