Annual reports highlights successful year for board of education

A summary of the public meeting of Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board held Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at the Education Centre has been posted. It is an unofficial summary of the meeting; official minutes will be approved at the next meeting in February.
Highlights include:
· 2010-2011 Director’s Annual Report. can be viewed by clicking link.
· Character moment featuring SK to Grade 3 students from Earl Prentice Public School in Marmora, reading and performing parts of a book, All it Takes is One Friend, written by Teacher Heather Rankin.
· Process to being a performance appraisal for the director of education.
· French Immersion program update.
· Student Enrolment/School Capacity Committee update.
· Capital projects update for the two new schools in Stirling and Tweed.
