Remembrance Day ceremonies in Picton and Wellington will result in several road closures Saturday, Nov. 11.

Picton Main Street will be closed at Walton Street beginning at 10:45 am.

The intersections of Picton Main Street and Walton Street; Ferguson Street/Chapel Street and Picton Main Street; and the Tim Hortons exit onto Picton Main Street will be affected.

Following the ceremony at the cenotaph (approximately 11:30 am), participants will march to the Elks Lodge (21 Elk St.) The route will follow Picton Main, Bridge Street and Union Street to Elk Street.

The Ontario Provincial Police will lead the parade and control traffic at Union and Pitt streets. Barricades will block vehicles on side streets from entering Picton Main Street during the parade.

Wellington Main Street (County Road 33) will be closed between Maple and Wharf streets from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm.
A parade will begin at 10:45 am from the Wellington United Church (245 Wellington Main St.) to the cenotaph in Wellington Park.
