Avoid Picton cenotaph intersection Tuesday

The County plans to replace the traffic light control box at the intersection of Picton Main Street and Walton, Ferguson, and Chapel streets on Tuesday, May 30.
The work will result in road closures and traffic disruptions between the hours of 7 a.m and 5 pm. Drivers are strongly encouraged to avoid this area if possible during the work.
The following closures will be in place during the work:
Chapel Street will be closed from Bowery Street.
Ferguson Street will be closed from West Mary Street.
Walton Street will be closed from Picton Main Street.
West Mary Street will be closed between Catherine Street and Ferguson Street.
Drivers exiting the Tim Hortons parking lot onto Picton Main Street will not be allowed to turn left.
Signs, pylons and barricades will be in place to direct traffic.

The only business I have seen in Ontario that has it’s own traffic lights!
Curiously, we didn’t need traffic lights at that intersection until Timmy’s came to town. Of, course, this is in the “way-before time”.(And there’s even a traffic light controlling traffic coming OUT of Timmy’s.)
let’s be honest.
it’s the Tim Hortons traffic lights.
I’d bet dollars to doughnuts more residents can tell you where the Timmy’s is as opposed to the cenotaph.
