Be thrifty… help a senior!

Great selection of furniture, lamps, small appliances, dishes, household items, clothing, knick knacks & much more…

Community Care does not take: sports helmets, old motors, mattresses, large appliances (such as stoves and refrigerators), propane tanks, we’ll take the barbeque though, baby & child equipment that doesn’t have a CSA sticker on it.

The Thrift Shop focuses on household articles, furniture, small appliances & knick knacks and it is co-operating closely with other not-for-profit organizations in Picton and Wellington which operate used article outlets.

Community Care for Seniors wishes to acknowledge the work of the over 40 volunteers who so generously donate their time to set up and run the shop on an ongoing basis.

Regular Shop Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 4 p.m.

Volunteers always welcome – If you have 3 hours a week to spare, call 613-476-7493 and apply to become a volunteer. You can also sign up through our website at The volunteer experience at the Thrift Shop is very social. You’ll meet some great people and often our volunteers develop friendships from these connections. If this appeals to you, contact us today. An orientation session for new volunteers is coming up soon.
The Thrift Shop is also looking for volunteers that are willing to pick up donated items from members of the community. This volunteer opportunity is very flexible. If you have a vehicle and a willing pair of hands this is your opportunity to support seniors to live at home.
