Blades of Glory, Marjorie Harris and more at the Library this week!

The County of Prince Edward Public Library & Archives presents exciting events for families again this week as part of its ongoing summer happenings.
Tuesday, July 17 – there’s a Paper Bag Princess Tea Party at 1 pm at the Picton
Wednesday, July 18 – Racetracks Rule at the Consecon branch of the library when participants of all ages can build their own gravity-fed track perfect for fast die cast cars like Hot Wheels.
Thursday, July 19 – is extra special as the library welcomes The Blades of Glory (www.bladesofglory.ca) to town for two events. At 1pm, at the Wellington branch, Blades of Glory Knight School will be on hand to show one and all how to hone their chivalrous knight skills. Then at 3pm, the Blades of Glory Story tellers will bring the myths and legends to life through tales of medieval times at the Milford branch of the Library.
Thursday, July 19 – At 5pm, it’s a Teen Cosmo Girl Party with free manicures at the Picton branch.
Saturday, July 21 – Gardeners, both aspiring and experienced will have the unique opportunity of supporting the library through a fundraiser while attending a special presentation by Canada’s leading garden writer, columnist for the Globe and Mail, and CBC Fresh Air contributor, Marjorie Harris (marjorieharris.com). The talk, with garden images, is at 11am at the Regent Theatre and audience members will have a chance to win lunch with Marjorie too.
Tickets are $10 and available at the Regent Theatre box office.
Saturday, July 21 – the library is presenting a free Saturday Family Movie at the Ameliasburgh Town Hall at 2pm.
