Canada Day: Two Exchange Students, my family and a Jello Cake.

I love Canada. I sometimes hum the National Anthem, mostly because if I sing it I get the get the words wrong. They changed two lines of it about thirty years ago and I still don’t know what they are.  I love Canada Day because its the one holiday where you just show up with a bean salad, some devilled eggs and a bathing suit and you’re done.

This year my brother Kevin hosted the event at his cottage. Kevin is a wit and his invite alone was indicative of his genius.

There are six siblings, my mom, plus 13 neices and nephews and my sister in laws extended family. Add to this two exchange students, one from Australia -the other Germany. My sister was hosting one and my brother the other. Two jet legged teens were given a Canada flag tattoo, and initiated into the unruly bunch of loud Kimmetts.   CLICK HERE FOR REST OF STORY
