Canadian Army Reserve training may be on County roads Nov. 18 – 20

Canadian Army Reserve personnel from 31 Service Battalion, Windsor Support Company are expected to be conducting training exercises within Prince Edward County from Nov. 18 – 20.

Members of the public may see military vehicles conducting driver/convoy training on County Roads 19, 3 and 33 within Prince Edward County and other areas via Hwy 401 this weekend.

The training keeps drivers ready to respond to emergencies. Participating personnel are expected to remain within their vehicles, except for maintenance purposes.

The training is being conducted to keep Canadian Army Reserve members’ skills current in convoy drills, unit discipline and on the safe and effective operation of specific vehicle platforms.

All measures are being taken to ensure minimum inconvenience in the designated areas during the exercise dates.

Members of the public are asked to take extra caution when approaching military vehicles, and are thanked in advance for their understanding and co-operation.

Residents can follow the Canadian Army Reserve – 31 GBC on Twitter for updates on this training.
