Celebrate Spring enjoying maple in the County

mapleWith the first weekend of spring comes the Maple in the County festival. The 13th annual event salutes Prince Edward County’s maple syrup producers and invites visitors to learn about one of the oldest agricultural traditions in Canada.

Each year, visitors and locals enjoy a trip to the sugar bush to experience everything from lip-smacking pancake breakfasts, to sugar shack demonstrations, tours, maple kettle corn, wagon rides and more, throughout the County.

Maple in the County fans are encouraged to participate in a number of family-friendly activities. The Crystal Palace will be transformed into a Maple Artisan Marketplace including a café. The HUB will host an Arts & Crafts Centre for children inside, while kids can play outside in the Ice Zone. Free family skating on Sunday.

Live entertainment will be featured at the Regent with a special performance of Juno award-winning sing-along superstars of Kid’s CBC, Judy & David on Saturday afternoon.
