Changes in command at local public schools, PECI

Some Prince Edward County schools will have new leaders at the helm when a new school year begins in September.
Trenton High School’s principal Darren McFarlane will lead Prince Edward Collegiate Institute, taking over from Shelley MacKenzie-Coates, who will become principal at Centre Hastings Secondary School.

Kevin MacLaurin will move from Stirling to be acting principal at Athol-South Marysburgh public school. Current principal Marg Thompson heads to Prince Charles School in Belleville.

College Street, Trenton principal Tina Elliott will be the new principal at CML Snider School.
Kim Myderwyk, vice-principal at Queen Elizabeth school in Picton will be acting principal at Pinecrest as Heather Rutherford moves to Susanna Moodie in Belleville.
