Glenwood Chapel was a busy place on Saturday while a steady stream of people stopped by to pick up the Christmas Wreaths and Baskets. The Christmas Wreath & Basket Sale is a very important annual fundraiser for the Glenwood Cemetery in Picton. The event is organized by Libby Crombie and the Glenwood Board of Directors. The beautiful classic wreaths of pine and cedar boughs accented with a red velvet bow will be used in homes during the holiday season and for placement on Glenwood monuments in memory of loved ones.
The traditional wreaths and baskets were once again provided by Lockyer’s Country Gardens filling the little Glenwood Chapel with a wonderful pine fragrance. Homemade traditional Christmas baking and hot cider were set out for everyone to enjoy, this was a great way to start the festive season.
