Community continues to Light the Way for Hospice

Hospice-SobeysSobey’s customers donated $620 for Hospice Prince Edward’s community visiting program during a recent third annual drive at the Picton store. Store owner Jamie Yeo presented the funds to Hospice executive director Nancy Parks. The visiting program supports 56 families in the County. Hospice continues to offer community home visiting and bereavement support services delivered by more than 60 trained volunteers.

Hospice-Home-Hardware-2014Home Hardware’s Adam and Chrissy Buscher presented $5,000 to Hospice Prince Edward’s executive director Nancy Parks and Lighting the Way campaign chairman Mark Davis. The funds went toward the new residential home at 40 Downes Ave., Picton. The home away from home for patients at the end of life is also the home for the administrative offices and volunteers. The three-bed residential hospital is the first of its kind in the community.
