Community supports jazz in the chapel

Jazz-in-Chapel---P-deWittOn a perfect, sunny summer’s morning, the quaint chapel at Glenwood Cemetery once again had an overflowing crowd for the PEC Jazz Festival satellite performance.

Featured were guitarist Dave Barton and saxophonist Jonathan Stewart. The chapel doors were wide open and the beautiful music resonated in the building and throughout grounds for all to enjoy. The stone chapel looked spectacular with gorgeous plants and flowers provided by Lockyer’s Country Gardens. Glenwood Cemetery also noted appreciation of community support given by Elizabeth Crombie who generously sponsored the musicians for this event.

After the concert, historian Peter Lockyer lead an informative walking tour along part of the 62 acres of rolling hills and pathways, pointing out the special highlights of the Victorian cemetery.
