County libraries and playgrounds reopen

The municipality is opening libraries and playgrounds across Prince Edward County on Friday, July 17 as part of the transition to Stage 3 of the province’s framework for public health and economic recovery.
All library branches will reopen with modified services, while continuing to provide curbside pick-up and book mailing. The number of people in each branch will be limited to allow for physical distancing. The Archives will be open by appointment only; appointments must made at least 48 hours in advance.
The splashpad located at the Picton arena grounds, which reopened under Stage 2, will continue to operate with physical distancing in effect.
Physical distancing and diligent handwashing and sanitization are still necessary. Click this Google map link for a full list of public washrooms and portable toilets.
Face coverings are required when inside public places in the County, including the library.
