County looking for water leaks at Macaulay Village

The municipality’s Water and Wastewater Department will be conducting mandatory, emergency watermain leak detection on all streets located within the Macaulay Village subdivision with repairs will follow.

Leak detection is to begin Friday, Nov. 11, at 8am, with an expected completion time of 6pm.

Watermain leak detection or resultant repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however residents living within the affected area may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations, temporary pressure loss and coloured water.

Customers are asked to practice water conservation while watermain leak detection is underway.

During repairs, lane restrictions or closures may be experienced within Macaulay Village subdivision. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction areas if possible.

If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance is complete.
