Driver who ran over child’s leg left the scene

Prince Edward OPP seek assistance as they continue an investigation into an incident where a child’s leg was run over by a vehicle.
Police report it happened Friday, Sept. 20 around 7:30 p.m., at a campground in Sandbanks Provincial Park. The vehicle which ran over the child’s leg had left the scene.
The OPP was contacted about two hours later. Officers met with the family at a local hospital, prior to the six-year-old being transferred to a regional trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
A car was seen in the area at the time, but investigators want to hear from anyone else who may have seen the incident.
