Elevated E.coli at Outlet, Lakeshore and Wellington beaches
Administrator | Jun 18, 2021 | Comments 0
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH) has declared Wellington Beach unsafe for swimming.
The alerts at Ontario Parks page also advises elevated counts of E.coli have been recorded on the Outlet Beach and Lakeshore Beach. Park staff will continue to monitor beach water quality and will remove the advisory when E.coli counts drop.
As result of an unplanned shutdown at the Outlet water distribution plant all water within the Outlet A, Outlet B, Outlet Beach Road and the Cedars Trailer Fill Station are all under a Boil Water Advisory until further notice.
Beach goers can also find the status of recent water testing by visiting the Public Beach Reports section at hpePublicHealth.ca, where updated beach reports will be posted on the Friday of each week.
