Nominate somebody for Canada 150 commemorative coin

UPDATE – The deadline for nominating constituents for the commemorative coin to mark Canada’s 150th birthday has been extended to October 9, 2017.

Bay of Quinte Riding MP Neil Ellis will honour excellence and achievements of constituents with commemorative coins commissioned to mark Canada’s 150th birthday.

“The Member of Parliament 150th Commemorative Coin will be awarded to any constituent of the riding who has demonstrated a high level of individual excellence and achievement in any field benefiting the people of the riding,” said Ellis.

A committee consisting of private citizens from throughout the riding, will review the nomination submissions.

Nominations are open until Sept. 5, 2017. Constituents to receive the coin will be contacted personally by the MPs office in early October and a presentation ceremony will take place in the fall.
