Emergency watermain repair on Downes Ave

Emergency watermain repairs are underway on Downes Avenue between Walton Street and Short Street in Picton.
Repairs began at approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, with an expected completion time of 5 p.m.
Downes Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents in the construction area may experience pressure fluctuations and/or coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
