Administrator | Mar 09, 2024 | Comments 0
Emergency watermain repairs are under way on Wellington Main Street between Cleminson and McDonald streets.
Repairs began Saturday, March 9 at 9 a.m., with an expected completion time of 6 p.m. same day.
Traffic on Wellington Main will be reduced to one lane during construction. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and take alternate routes.
The Wellington Bulk Water Loadng Station will be temporarily removed from service while repairs are under way. Approved haulers requiring service during the time can use the 3″ Picton Bulk Loading Station located at 15 MacSteven Drive, Picton.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents in the area may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
