Join the Prince Edward County Field Naturalists Tuesday March 30 on a journey to see the wildlife, culture and landscapes of Borneo.
The presentation, via ‘Zoom’ begins at 7 p.m. Non-members should RSVP gerry.jenkison@icloud.com for the Zoom link.
The presentation is by Yvette and David Bree, founding members of the Prince Edward County Field Naturalists. They have worked for Ontario Parks for more than 30 years, Yvette at Sandbanks and David now at Presqu’ile as the Senior Natural Heritage Education Leader.
During the winter they plan nature-based trips to exciting, exotic places such as the Galapagos and Madagascar. Their latest adventure took them to Borneo last February.
The armchair Zoom trip features Saba on the island of Borneo. Fantastic birds, mammals and butterflies are still to be found in a rapidly developing country. Ecotourism infrastructure abounds but forests are shrinking. Find out what marvels are still to be found, how to see them and how you can help keep them there.
