The Bay of Quinte Remedial Action Plan is hosting ist annual photo contest – with a twist and invites photographers of all levels to capture that perfect shot of summer fun on the Bay of Quinte. Contest deadline is Sept. 1.
Just photograph your favourite activity, whether it’s walking or biking the waterfront trail, attending the numerous outdoor events and festivals held on the Bay of Quinte shores, fishing for trophy walleye and bass, an evening sail, or hanging out with friends on a waterfront patio.
Here is the twist. There will be 10 winning photos chosen and if your photo is one of the winning entries, it will be interpreted by an area artist in a different medium – watercolour, glass, oil, pottery, wood, etc.
“It’s always fascinating to see how people visualize the same image differently, and how they interpret it,” says Sarah Midlane-Jones, BQRAP Communications.
The winning photos and interpretations will be displayed at the Belleville Art Association gallery as part of the Nov/Dec show.
