Families welcome to participate in Bioblitz with naturalists – June 18-19

Join the Prince Edward County Field Naturalists anytime from Saturday, July 18 at noon to noon Sunday, July 19 for the PECFN Beaver Meadow Conservation Area Bioblitz . The Beaver Meadow entrance is at 158 County Road 11.
Join the PEC Field Naturalists to identify plants and animal observed using the Merlin and iNaturalist phone apps. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Come for an hour or more – the whole family is welcome.
Beaver Meadow is home to Black Terns, Virginia Rails, ducks, geese and one of the Naturalists’ favourite places to be for wildflowers.
Participants can take a short hike with experts to learn about the plants, insects and birds; look for snakes, frogs and dragonflies in the water.
