Food Hub welcomes Stay PEC donation

CHEERS! from the County Food Hub, for a $1,000 donation from Stay PEC, a Prince Edward County Accommodation Association. Executive director Edward Schubert presented the cheque at to general manager Melissa Tran and president and chair of the board, Anne Marie Varner.
Tran notes the funds will go a long way to assisting the County Food Hub as it continues to be the second location of the bi-weekly PEC Fresh Market and as it works with local food purveyors in their quest to develop and scale up their businesses.
Known as “the kitchen that saved a school,” County Food Hub is a non-profit health certified commercial kitchen located at Sophiasburgh Central on County Road 15.
