Friends dinner supports Picton hospital

Fran Renoy and a houseful of friends presented Hazel Lloyst, interim director of development for the PECMH Foundation with $915. Fran and her sister Maggie Creighton held a Ukrainian luncheon at Fran’s home last week to raise funds for much needed medical equipment for Picton’s hospital. Fran, Maggie and friends encourage other groups to consider holding luncheons or dinners – theme orientated or otherwise to raise funds for their local hospital. Her group thanks Portabella, the Lunch Box and Shelter Valley Farm and Greenhouse for generous donations of door prizes for the luncheon.

“We very much appreciate all support. We are especially grateful to this group for helping us acquire medical equipment for our hospital and hope this group inspires others to take after Fran and Maggie’s initiative in support of PECMH,” said Hazel Lloyst. “Our job is to support the medical staff at the hospital by raising donations to pay for the medical equipment and facilities needed to provide a range of health care services to County residents. We cannot lose sight of this as our mission and our ongoing priority.”
