PECI Theatrical Productions is proud to present Ann-Marie MacDonald’s
Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)
The show starts at 7pm at PECI in Gym B.
Tickets are $10 and available at Books and Company or at the door.
Here is a brief synopsis.
Constance Ledbelly is a bookish Assistant Professor at Queen’s University. She’s been working diligently to prove her thesis true- that Romeo & Juliet and Othello are really comedies changed into tragedies because of the absence of a wise fool. After a catastrophic event in her day to day life, she is sucked into the worlds of Othello and Romeo and Juliet in order to set things right. But will she just make things worse?
A unique melding of classical Elizabethan theatre with the modern, Ann-Marie MacDonald’s Canadian classic takes the theatre-goer on a journey of self discovery, changed perspective and personal identity, with a few mismatched doublets and comic misunderstandings along the way.
The play is not recommended for children under the age of 12.
