About 75 guests visited the graves of county notables of yesteryear and watched local thespians bring their stories to life during the Bid Time Return walking tour at Glenwood Cemetery, Sunday.
Under brilliant sunshine of a warm, autumn day, highlights included Celine Papizewska playing Ekaterina Pushkin and singing a Russian song. Hospice Prince Edward president Birgit Langwisch portrayed Lillian Boulter and Prince Edward County’s top soldier, 93-year-old George Wright played the role of John (Jack) Guest, a veteran of the Boer War and First World War and one of the first presidents of the Picton Legion.

Guitarist Ken Hudson played throughout the tour and Roberts also sang.
Five staff members from Campbell Monument took part in the tour. President Gary Foster lead the tour as Thomas Bog, a leading citizen of the town and a veteran of the Fenian Raids. Other staff thespians included Mary Martin, Sammy Samosa, and Patricia Sullivan. Etching artist Peter LeBaron played the cello with LVB Strings.
Costumes for the tour were provided by the Mt. Tabor Playhouse. They day raised $460 for Hospice Prince Edward.
