Start working on your halloween costumes and take part in the festivities Oct. 28th at Consecon’s annual Haunting in the Hamlet – a spooktacular all day fun-filled, family celebration with something for everyone.
Kicking off the day is a pancake and sausage breakfast at the Consecon Legion beginning at 8am, followed by the opening of the arts and crafts sale in the Consecon United Church hall.
From 9 till 11 am, the kiddies craft corner and games will take place in the Masonic Hall.
Stop by the Consecon Branch Library between 10 am-1 pm in your most ghoulish costumes for a free special photo opportunity. Step in front of the green screen, strike a pose with the digital backgrounds. Library staff will take your photo and email it to you once the special effects have been applied!
From 10:30 am through 1:30 pm everyone is welcome to enter the all-ages bake-off, Jack-O-Lantern, and Halloween Costume contests taking place in the Masonic Hall.
From 11:15 till noon is the magic show featuring “Randy The Magic Man & Bob The Bunny” in the Masonic Hall.
Judging for all three contests begins at 1 pm in the Masonic Hall, kicked-off by the parade of costumes followed by the three contest awards presentation ceremony.
From 4 to 8 pm a barbecue dinner and an open mic in the Consecon Legion will feature free photo sessions and, new this year, a haunted house, movies and a youth dance.
Collect at least five spooktacular passport stamps to be entered to win a prize. Pick up passports before or during “Haunting in the Hamlet” at any participating locations in Consecon.
