Home sale prices rise modestly in June

The average residential sale price in June 2014 was modestly higher than 2013, coming in at $233,345 compared to $226,321 last year.

June also reflected an increase in new residential listings with 598 in 2014 and 513 in 2013.

Quinte and District Association of Realtors president Michelle Norlock says listing inventory for all property types remains steady with last year, coming in at 3,122 for 2014 and 3,087 for 2013.

“Monthly numbers for June show there were 334 overall units sold compared to 317 sold for the same month last year, indicating an increase of 5.4 per cent. The residential portion of the sold units was 283 for 2014 and 278 for 2013, reflecting an increase of 1.8 per cent.
