Honour your doctor, nurse or health care team

To show pride for local caregivers associated with Picton hospital, the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation is launching a new ‘Honour Your Caregiver’ program.

“We want the community to join in too and show their appreciation for these professionals who are committed to maintaining the good health of your family and friends,” says foundation executive director Anna Marie Ferguson. “Every day, they provide extraordinary care to our community. The Foundation wants to help you say thank you!”

The Foundation is offering a unique way for the community to pay tribute to their care providers by donating to the Foundation through the Honour Your Caregiver program.

Recognizing your physician, nurse, nurse practitioner, technologist, friendly staff member or volunteer with a gift to the PECMH Foundation lets them know you appreciate and support the important role they play in your life and in the life of our community.

Every caregiver honoured will receive a card of recognition with your personal message of thanks, informing him or her of your generosity.

“When you are well, your caregiver keeps you well. When you are sick, there is no other person more important to you than your caregiver,” Ferguson adds.

The PECMH Foundation supports the Hospital by raising funds and awareness of the need to assist in the provision of priority medical equipment and services for all patients and members of our community.

The government DOES NOT provide funding for the purchase of medical equipment. It is through the generosity of our donors that our doctors, nurses and technologists can provide quality health care to the patients at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital by purchasing state-of-the-art medical equipment.
