A workshop to improve classroom behaviour
Workshop for parents of and those who work with children with special needs
If you are a parent/guardian of a child with special needs or someone who works with special needs children, you may be interested in an upcoming daytime workshop: “Working Together for Success and Improving Classroom Behaviour.”
DATE: Wednesday, May 9, 2012
TIME: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (lunch provided)

Through this interactive workshop, participants will:
– Explore Shared Solutions – A Guide to Preventing and Resolving Conflicts Regarding Programs
and Services for Students with Special Education Needs
– Learn how to resolve behaviour-related conflicts
– Discuss how to prevent conflicts from happening
– Understand how to assist students to develop their full potential and succeed in school
This event will be of interest to:
– Child and youth counsellors
– Community agency representatives
– Parents/guardians
– Parent Involvement Committee members
– School council chairs
– Special Education Advisory Committee members
– Student Success teachers
– Trustees
This event is hosted by the Special Education Advisory Committee in partnership with community agencies.
