Sofina Foods Inc. is recalling a Janes brand Pub Style chicken product for the third time in five months due to possible Salmonella contamination. This recall affects 800-gram packages of Chicken Nuggets with a best before date of Dec. 15th.
The The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says there have been illnesses associated with the product. The recall was triggered by an investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak.
It’s the third time this year the agency has announced a recall on frozen chicken nuggets – Compliments brand in February and Crisp & Delicious brand products in January.
Janes brand Pub Style Chicken Burgers were recalled last October and Pub Style Chicken Strips in November.
