Job Fair brings employers and job seekers together

job-fairMore than 40 local businesses looking to hire will meet with interested job seekers at Prince Edward County’s upcoming Job Fair.

The event is taking place Wednesday, Feb. 19th at the Prince Edward Community Centre, 375 Main St. E., Picton, from 1 pm – 5  pm.

“We are thrilled to launch this event in collaboration with local organizations and local employers,” said Grace Nyman, Community
Development Coordinator. “We encourage all job seekers, including students, to come prepared and ready to be interviewed.”

Employers with a range of job opportunities related to hospitality, community groups, recreation and leisure, agriculture, cleaning
services, local government and more will be on hand to meet with prospective employees. More than 150 full-time, part-time, year-round and seasonal opportunities are available.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their cover letter and resume. In preparation for the job fair, Career Edge is hosting a resume workshop on February 10th from 2-3:30pm. Call 613.476.6456 for more information and to reserve a spot.

Coordinated through the County of Prince Edward Community Development Department, the job fair is brought to you in partnership with
the Ontario Small Business Centre, Career Edge, Prince Edward Community Futures Development Corporation, the Chamber of Tourism and Commerce and the East Central Ontario Training Board.
