Join in on naked eye astronomy series

Learn about the wonders of the night sky during an astronomy series hosted by the Picton Branch Library and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada – Belleville.
The first session is set for Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. to learn about the wonders of the night sky visible with your unaided eyes.
Session two, Saturday, Oct. 12 will feature samples of meteorites and participants will learn the difference between meteors and meteorites.
During session three, learn about the impact of the night sky on humanity and the difference between astronomy and astrology – Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.
The final session explores dark skies and light pollution, its effects and how to combat it, on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2p.m.
