Lane restrictions on Quinte Skyway Bridge – start Sept 12

UPDATE: The southbound lane of the Quinte Skyway Bridge will be closed beginning Tuesday, Sept. 12 (not Sept. 5 as previously announced) as Union Gas removes its pipeline from the bridge.
The southbound lane will be closed during daylight hours Monday through Thursday and the first half of Friday. Both lanes are to be open at night for the duration of the project.
At the request of the Ministry of the Transportation (MTO), Union Gas is removing the abandoned pipeline on the bridge. The pipeline was abandoned after Union Gas relocated its pipeline within the MTO right-of-way under the water bed through tunneling in 2015.
Union Gas anticipates the project will take approximately four to six weeks to complete.
Allow extra time while travelling through this area.
