The latest stretch of extreme heat and humidity were forecast to end Tuesday night. But Wednesday’s forecast is set for 30 with a humidex of 37.
The multi-day period of temperatures were more than 30 degrees C with humidex values in the 40s.
Wednesday’s forecast also calls for a 40 per cent chance of showers – something that would be welcome by farmers and residents alike. Thursday is also expected to be cloudy.
The sun returns Thursday and Friday forecasts are about 24 degrees C with lows of 12 on the overnights.
The Civic Holiday weekend is also expected to be hot and sunny.
