Learn to Play Mah Jongg in a two part series Wednesdays, March 19 and March 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ameliasburgh Branch Library. Register by calling 613-968-9327.

Workshop on new tech

Learn more about the library’s Bambu Lab 3D Printer and Xtool laser cutter and engraver, tools to creatively build, create and design. A workshop overviewing these two new resources is to be held on Wednesday, March 25 at 2 p.m. Space is limited to ensure everyone gets a chance to ask their questions, so please register at peclibrary.org or call (613) 476-5962. If you can’t make it to the workshop but you would still like to learn more, make a free of charge one-on-one appointment.

Don Kittle is a (mostly) analog photographer based in Bloomfield, Ontario where he’s often seen setting up large wooden cameras on tripods to photograph historical buildings and old barns. This summer he’ll be set up in his garden off Main Street to capture unique portraits of visitors using a modernized Calotype photography process (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calotype).

Newcomers Group

Every Other Wednesday
10 am – 12 pm

This group meets at the Picton Branch Library and welcomes people who are new to the area to meet others with social time and guest speakers from community groups and volunteer organizations.
Previous iterations of the group have built lasting friendships leading to book clubs, dinner clubs and more.
Anyone is welcome, but we do ask for registration to help us anticipate numbers.

Secondary After School Club ( S.A.S.S.) Drop into the library after school on Tuesdays for fun new activities each week. Examples include art, podcasting, filmmaking and STEAM projects. Highschoolers and teens 13+ welcome to join.
